maria told kae she was pregnant. maria and isabel say she’s never wrong, that kae just doesn’t know yet, but she must be because maria is never wrong. i said, i don’t believe in a lot anymore, but i believe in that mexican catholic with magic. kae sighed and said that she and her (mecian catholic) husband do want kids eventually.
later, kae, who’s a JW, asked me why i believed in mexican catholic witch magic and i didn’t even know what to say, like there are reasons sure, but also, it never occurred to me not to.

I just stared at my own eyeballs too long and got freaked out by the idea of having insides and in Summer and Smoke, Alma has a panic attack because of a medical diagram of the human abdomen and I’m just saying we shouldn’t let sixteen year old read Tennessee Williams because clearly it creates neurosis.
